because some of you asked

Several have asked about how to leave comments on the blog. We would LOVE to hear from you, so I'll try to make it more clear:

At the bottom of each blog entry, it tells how many comments have been left on that one. If you click on it, you can read the comments in the left column that have been left by others. Also, there is a box on the right for you to leave a comment if you like. You don't have to sign up for an account - just choose the "anonymous" option below the box (but you can still put your name inside the comment box).

As of today there is a counter that shows us about how many times the blog is read. We know that it's been viewed over 200 times in the past 6 hours. We just want you all to know that we appreciate your comments (I cry almost every time I get to catch up on reading them), and we'd love to hear from anyone else who wants to.

Ryan and Amberly, what a precious little guy you have! You are in our prayers each day. We're hoping you will soon have your family home together again. I know Morgan misses her mommy and daddy and her little brother. Love and hugs, Aunt Peggy and Uncle Marvin

Ryan, Amberly, Morgan, and Athan--
We just wanted you to know that our family is praying for yours. When Madilyn was very, very sick with RSV and we weren't sure if she was going to make it, she was at UK. She was in such good hands...the doctors and nurses are just incredible. I know that they are taking great care of Athan as well. He is in good hands at UK, but more importantly in the hands of our Heavenly Father. May God strengthen you, as I know you are worn out...and may He strengthen precious Athan.
Love from Amherst,
Lou, Rebecca, Benjamin, Madilyn, and Jacob

Ryan and Amberly:
I try to keep up with your updates morning and night. I think of you so many times during the day and pray for you and Athan constantly. I know you are exhausted, but hang in there. I can't wait to tell your son how sweet you were in high school and how mean you were on the basketball court!
Love always,
Christi, Megan and Logan Brown

prayer is the only way so many of us have of being in touch with you. Dietrich Bonhoeffer once said, "Christ stands between us, and we can only get in touch with our neighbors through him." He meant this in terms of evangelism - however, it applies just as well in the case of distances and the need for intercessory prayer. May Christ himself give you the strength, the comfort, and the energy when you think you don't have any left. My prayer today is that you will rest in Him.

Hey guys! We just wanted to let you know that we are praying together for you every night and you never leave our thoughts. When we looked at his picture at first glance, we both thought, "Now surely Ryan isn't okay with that bow on his head!" That IV tape looked just right to be a white bow! But after looking more closely we know that it isn't one and that Ryan did NOt put a bow in his son's hair! :) We hope to hear from you soon! Take care and God bless.
